The 2024-25 school year has begun and this means new roles and responsibilities for three Seminole ISD employees. Becky Peters has been named the assistant principal at Seminole Primary School. Will McCallister will now be an assistant principal at Seminole High School. And Randy Jones is now the principal at Seminole Success Center.
Becky Peters began her 23 year career at Seminole ISD in 1998 when she was hired to teach 6th grade science and coach. She coached JH girls volleyball and basketball and also coached the HS girl throwers in track. After five years of teaching and coaching, Mrs. Peters sat out for four years until after her sons were born. She then returned to the classroom for the next seven years, teaching 7th and 8th grade science. The following year Peters was hired as an instructional technologist for Seminole Elementary. Her roles and responsibilities changed throughout her nine years at the Elementary School. Brenda credits principals Aine Lopez and Charla Karr for helping prepare her for an administrator role.
Will McCallister began his teaching career in 2013 at Lubbock Roosevelt. He taught 6th grade math and coached JH football, basketball, and track. He moved to Pampa the following year and had a three-year stint at Pampa Junior High teaching 6th grade math and 8th grade history while continuing to coach. His next stop was at Anson High School where he taught social studies and coached for one year. McCallister then taught and coached at Dimmit High School for three years. While at Dimmitt, Will served as the football offensive coordinator and head boys track coach. After earning a Masters degree in Education Administration, he was promoted to assistant principal at Dimmitt High School his third year. He is currently entering his fourth year with Seminole ISD where he had previously served as Seminole High School testing coordinator for the past three years, as well as coaching football and girls powerlifting.
Randy Jones was born and raised in Seminole, Texas. He has been in education a total of 31 years, 21 of those years teaching and coaching. Mr. Jones has been back in his hometown for the last 19 years. He has served as an administrator with Seminole ISD for the last 10 years.
